Me and Leonidas have trouble to connect at the same hours... But our final draft is pretty much under way.

Also, there is the issue of time zones. My friday might not end up the same as your friday. We're doing the fastest we can. Wink

I found a great seed, but I am still waiting on one file.

All files received. I should be able to wrap this up tomorrow evening after work.

Thanks again Neilhoward for setting this game up. This type of game that requires planet moving would never happen without 3rd party help.

I finished Sunday (or thought I had)... You will have starting files at 7pm PST today 31st July. I received some feedback from previous DD players about planet distribution, and nmid also made a very good case for putting in more work to make the game as balanced as possible. Good news for me is that XyliGUN has just published a new utility that makes this so much easier. See http://starsautohost.org/sahforum2/index.php?t=msg&goto= 58421&rid=1205#msg_58421

Long story short, you guys will be putting in hundreds of hours combined, and I don't want it spoiled because my remapping made the planet/hab distribution wonky.

You can expect each team to have access to very close to the same number of worlds within 2 jumps of their HWs. Team HWs will either all be within 162ly of each other, or 200ly. Players nearer the core will have approx 400ly from their nearest enemy. No stars in corners so no team gets advantage of extra undisputed backfield (stars will be a little bit more dens, but much more evenly distributed). Iron and Germ should be close to or above 60% on HWs.

The star distribution work is greatly appreciated. Takes some of the luck out of the start.

Thanks again for setting this up, can't wait to start Very Happy

I have not forsaken you. Files sent to Ron. Ally HWs within 162ly. Players nearer the core are 350-400ly from enemies.
2401 was genned with all queues set to alchemy with no contribution to research.

I did not take away any gifts from the RNGs, but I did make sure each team received approximately equal boons. Deviations from average star density are balanced with deviations from average distance to nearest enemies, mineral distribution of nearby planets, and actual habitable planets within 162ly. I am sorely tempted to post a picture of the pre-scanned universe. Very Happy

I used batch and def file templates to run through a range of seeds, UC 1.3 to clear the corners, and Xyligun's new super sweet StarsHostTool to move individual planets.

You may get a bug when you load your turn such that the left side of the console is blank, and unable to access HW production queue. Workaround: Save and submit, exit from all instances of Stars!, and reload.
