Here is what we seem to have so far with teams:

Rolf / ManicLurch (host)
Mac1 / Galien
Cieply / Asmodai
Orange / Nmid

We also have a vote for weapons expensive from Orange and Mac1. There was also a suggestion on banning kill starbase orders. This benefits AR obviously, but is also can benefit others on defense as well.

We have room for 2 more teams.

Interesting enough, as Rolf mentioned, the last DD game we played AR and did ok with it and there was another team that played an AR and finished in 2nd at the end of the game. And this was with the kill starbase order allowed.

Oh this will be medium dense with 6 teams ?
Why I thought its 4 teams ? (maybe because only DD game I played was with 4 teams and you didnt mention it in 1st post Very Happy)

We have a majority voting for weapons forced expensive. So that will be added to the rules.

As far as kill starbase orders, if we want to ban it, it should be banned for everyone, not just AR.

We still have room for one more player. This is a great opportunity to play in a team game and get to know another Stars player. I have had great experiences closely playing with 2 different players in this series that I hadn't played with before and didn't know.

We have voted for weapons forced expensive. There was some talk about banning kill starbase orders. Please vote on this as well. If you haven't voted by Monday, I will assume that means no ban on kill starbase orders.

Let's work on getting our racefiles in. I realize that the final rule of banning kill starbase orders might influence PRT choices, so I will give enough time after the final vote on this issue to get race files in.

Who do we send race files to.
Should they have password protection?
Or do we need to provide password to whoever is checking the races?

Send racefiles to Neilhoward, he is generating the game and moving Homeworlds. They don't have to be password protected, but I suggest that you do password protect your files. You will need to send Neilhoward your password along with your file.

I don't, but you can always send it to him in a PM.

I see 4 votes for banning the kill starbase orders. with 12 players, it would need 7 to make it part of the official rules. Today is the last day to vote on this.

Both Rolf and I vote for banning kill starbase orders as well. This gives us 7 votes for this, which is a majority.

I forgot to mention one thing.

In my previous team game there was a team of 2 races with exactly same name.
Noone said you can't do it, but i personally think its not a fair play and would ask everyone to not do it.
This causes too much confusion and its kind of not cool confusion, beacuse you are able to find which planet or fleet belongs to which player, but this takes more time and I dont like to waste time on such crap.

What you think ?

Final Rules:

Race restrictions, CA and IT are banned, Joat cannot take NAS. You cannot take HE factoryless. This means you cannot have factories worse than the default of 10/10/10 and no GR above 10(20). Other PRTs other than HE can be made factoryless. Weapons must be set to expensive. The kill starbase battle order is banned. I suggest you delete it from the default orders on turn 1.

Race names, including the plural version must be unique:-)

All races other than your teammate must be set to enemy. No communication with anyone other than your teammate.

No tech trading with anyone other than your teammate. Only one race per player, you can however submit your allies turn if necessary, like when your ally is on vacation, too busy at work, etc.

Other game settings are as follows:

- Distant players position
- AccBBS
- random events on
- PPS off.

Standard cheat disclaimer, which means that the following cheats are allowed:

- chaff
- split fleet dodge
- merge fleets after gating
- Mine damage dodge

Turns would be MTWTF until 2430 or someone requests a slow down. From there they would be MWF.

Condition of victory, PPS being turned on at 2500 and then a vote. If there is no clear victor, we keep playing until there is a clear victor by vote.

Universe will be medium dense.
