I've created a Stars! Clones, Extensions, Modding area and moved Freestars and VML forums into that area. In that area I've added several forums for Stars! Nova.

Threads in the Freestars forum that dealt with Stars! Nova have been moved to one of the Stars! Nova forums.

Thank you Ron for accepting the Nova forums here in HWF, you've saved our poor selves the pain of having to use the SF forums any longer.

I hope this gets the community a little more involved also, as Nova is comming alone slowly but steadily.

Cheers!

My initial thought was, "have to update the SAH wiki page" Rolling Eyes

If you guys really are moving in here, would you like me to import the Nova wiki too? Wiki space for clones has been a standing offer to all clones since the clones wiki page was first written, but none have taken it up yet. The Nova wiki is tiny atm so it wouldn't be much trouble.

It is great that Ron is willing to host us here as the old forums were not up to scratch. There is a lot happening with Nova as we have a lot of active developers going now - enough that I have trouble reading all their chatter and keeping up with the progress! Using these forums will be a big help.

Moving the wiki would be nice from the point of having a space theme, though there certainly is not the same push factor as for the forums. I will give it some thought though.

Have fun.

I guess that will mean "importing" here all the posts currently at SF forums? Deal

*I* have no way of importing them. I suppose they could be copied and pasted into new posts here to reproduce them, but that's the only way I can think of getting them into HWF.

There's the Wiki, too, with the judicious use of some "archival" tool. Deal

Reminds me, is there any handy link to the Wiki somewhere in SAH? Sherlock

I do not think there would be a lot of value in that as we try to transfer any important decisions and design information to the wiki. We will leave the old forum up as history, and for anyone who finds Stars! Nova on sourceforge but does make it to HWF.

Have fun.

Make it clear on that forum that it's only there for archival purposes. Pissed me off no end trying to make (a system) work from it's SF forum howtos with no indication that they'd absconded to github and their own forum and left behind a barely installable mess.

Dunno. It should be easy to locate. Perhaps in the "Starbase Epsilon-42" page with the other website links. Rolling Eyes
