Hi all,

I took some screenshots of the original Stars! client and measured the pixel diameter of the JoaT (Humanoid) starting pen scanners. The diameter measures 45 pixels. The JoaT scout only has a scanner of 66/30. Shouldn't the scanner only measure 30 pixels in diameter? I doing a quick waypoint distance it seems the waypoint lines are 1 pixel for 1 ly, so I don't think it's a scaling issue.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

My tests appear to say it is a scale issue, at my default zoom of 125% (for the default one player game) which gives the 75px diameter for the 30ly scanner - my maths says this is correct too.

At 100% zoom the diameter is 60px.

The middle click zoom at both levels has the distance match the scanner radius.

30ly is the scanner range = radius not diameter.

It must have been my scale originally. I just retested and the JoaT penetrating scanner was 60 pixels in diameter. I've updated my scanners to use the range as the radius instead of the diameter. Thanks!
