I request a turn slowdown to 3/week.

I myself was just thinking about this too.

I'd however prefer a 4 turns/week schedule: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday... If at all possible.

I had just requested a 50 hrs schedule from 'Alex our Great' which he told me would come into play this weekend.

I am with Sully here, as a longer period has the advantage that you have a minimum 50h between turns garantueed.

I know a slowdown was requested by at least two players, but since 2428, there has only one been one occasion where the new turn generated more than one hour before the deadline, and two occasions where a player missed a turn. The game would go faster if everyone submitted their turns when finished, instead of waiting until the last moment, or intending to wait until the last moment and then missing the turn (which is bad for the race).

I would like to point out that All Quiet II is now playing year 2432 while we are playing year 2434, and All Quiet II started Feb. 13 while All Quiet started Jan. 31, i.e. two week later.

I can see two reasons they will soon get ahead of us. First, there has not yet been a request for slowdown in All Quiet II, and second, the players in All Quiet II do not wait until the last moment before submitting their turn.

Are there really so many players who need at least 49 hours to submit a turn, every turn ?

Your logic is flawed in the sense that I do want to take my time to play because I don't have time enough in a day to play the two STARS! games I am already playing.

Plus, I'm going to be increasingly busy at work from now on because our selling season is starting for about 6-8 months.

I'd like you to try to work 8 hours a day with 1:30 transit time everyday while playing badminton 3 times a week, taking those whole evening completely off and playing on a time offset of -4 which mean that I can practically never communicate with my allies as much as I'd want to...

I must admit I only play one game, and I am non-playing host in another. I also only have a 1 hour transit, and I do not play badminton 3 rimes a week, though I do have some commitments as a member of the owners association in the apartment block I live in (each apartment is privately owned). You have certainly committed yourself to doing a lot of thing in your free time.

I can see that you would probably need close to 50 hours to complete your turn.

I am not saying everyone should complete their turns in under 26 or 28 hours, I am commenting that all of the players in All Quiet II tend to submit well before the 28 hour limit in that game, while it seems to me that the majority of the players in All Quiet submit very close to the 50 hour limit.

I do not see where my logic is flawed, I have an 8 hour offset when communicating with my ally, and there are probably worse time offsets in other alliance, both in our game and in All Quiet II. If there is any flaw in my logic, then it is that I assumed the players would not overcommit themselves.

Exactly. But I'm not really overcommited: I am simply near my limit. Razz

It's not always Eagle that's been last in ay, Magic.

Eagle, both games you are in need a fair bit of communication. Remember when you considering a 3rd game early on when you were new & keen as mustard Crazy

I have recently started uni and also have recently downloaded GalCiv2. Of course my priorities are going to be a little shifted.
