need help with #

I found out theres generators to get free serial key #'s but i went to one and it gave me a virus.. so i wont do that again.
I use to play this game like I was addicted.
I have the game but lost my #. Anyone have an extra or have a good site to go to for generator?
I dont have money or pay pall.
Besides i own the game already i just need key.
Please help so i can play someone.
dont make me beg....

your helper told me i had to pay a donation ($6) for a game i already payed for and own that came out practically in 1990. its like 2009. its not a donation its a bribe. its purchasing... donation is giving and not expecting anything back. no wounder stars is dieing.. id give you a $1.00 but i cant use pay pal.
ill find a key generator eventually. no wounder why stars is dien!!! pay for a game i already have thats the funniest thing i ever heard.

why dont you back off.moderator.. helper.. whatever man.. point is you told me i had to donate(BUY) so i was telling the site. no one here wants to discuss legal issues so dont bring any up. i have my game i dont have the key # thats why im obviously here. If you cant remember that dont come on my post starting crap. Good news is anyways i found a site where people posted key #'s for free.

Note, your genned SN may not work on the games we play on AH. The game creators banned some SN's in the later patches, which all the games use. No worries if you just want to play against the AI's on a earlier patch. Please test this on your own time, before entering a game here and finding out your genned SN is banned. No one likes a game hold up.

BTW, you could lose the attitude (even tho you are from NY...lol)

Mostly thats from city people. I only give back what people deserve. anyways online its hard to tell when someone is just playing around. im playing AI right now just to get the hang of things. i dont have much strategy but at least i remembered how the game works after all this time.
Im confused... If i dont try to play here online once how else would i do it on my own free time??

anyways i got my key hopefully multilayer works later on. sorry for getting off the wrong foot with you guys.

Apology accepted. No one here is 'out to get you', so city-learned attitudes are not needed here. Smile

As for the serial # thing, Empire Interactive stopped selling the game over 2 years ago, and they don't seem to offer serial numbers anymore for it. The game's author has said that he'd like to release a patch that does away with serial numbers entirely, but he's very busy and is not sure where the source code is anymore.

I have no way to verify or authenticate records of Stars! purchases. Since I've run Stars! AutoHost for over 10 years, and since there's no longer a legal way to buy a serial number, I offer serials for donations. I suggest to people to pick an amount between $1 and $6 donation per serial.

If you feel that its unreasonable, email me your story and I'll send you a serial.

Download the latest patch - JRC3 or 4. See if your game still works. You can always reinstall the old version if if doesn't, or gen a new SN.

Another thing to keep in mind is if you and another person have the same serial #, both of you will be punished by the game itself. I have seen it happen with "real" SN's from 2 boxed sets, and I would imagine it could easily happen with genned serials. My suggestion then would be have a additional SN genned and tested.

I guess the last thing, is tell the host of a game you join all this before a game starts. Just as a courtesy. I host myself, and would have a 3rd party gen a few test turns to make sure everything works OK, before starting the game.
