New Game Startup delays

I am sorry to hear about Ron's computer problem. I sent all the files in for a new game 12 days ago and am still waiting for the game to be set up. After reading about Ron's computer problems, I resent the files. I hope that doesn't mean the group has to wait another week or so.

I am getting a little concerned that I may lose players interest from the game. Many of the players first sent in their race files over 2 1/2 weeks ago. I just heard now that one of the players is travelling in a week.

Please don't consider this a critism. I am very appreciative of all of Ron's work and I wish him the best of luck solving his computer problem. I am just hoping that the game gets going soon before I lose players.

If you would like, I will manually host the game for you Denny until Ron can set it up. Send me all the game files and have everyone mail me the turns. I will generate and mail the turns out to everyone. Once Ron can setup the game, I will simply send him the latest files.

Thank you very much for your offer Ptolemy but I guess I can do that myself. I was afraid to run turns after sending the files in to Ron because then the files would be out of date ... but if he can update it with my files I will start right away.

Have to RMA the bad drive, and had to install WinXP from scratch (plus all the patches), restore backup from early June, etc...

Just want to confirm that all games in the queue for posting to AH are on hold pending Ron's return; that none of the moderators here can post the games?

That's correct. The moderator status refers to the sah *forum*. My "power" goes a bit further in so far as having access to all game pages, to help out in urgent matters for games already running.
