  • 5th Narn planet conquered and 5th Narn freighter shot down. Spoo report, as usual, no losses.
  • Shadows attack and shoot down a harmless Spoo scout.
  • "We have reached... Warp 10!!!?", the engineer shouted thru the noise to the captain.
In a daring race Fast Red #5 tried to give everything to reach the big bad Centauri freighter.
"Damn damn damn... the LF will be already in orbit of Franklin when we get him", the Tactical Lieutenant muttered to himself.
"The bigger the loot when we shoot down the dock there as well", assured Captain Scarface Sally everybody. Then they reached orbit...

What would be the design of a Narn DD with 101kt and travelling constantly at w8? My guesses are always 1-2kt too heavy.

DDL7
jet
2*bio4 armor
3*beam (yak)

Maybe you couldn't make a good guess since you were trying *good* designs! Laughing (and I can find some even more crap designs fitting that mass)

Narn Destroyer (101kt)

True enough, it was difficult guessing this design.

Shocked

I made some guesses with that armor but couldn't get them to fit, forgot he had IFE (deducted from his starting designs) since Narn used the DDL7 on his transports instead of the FM ... tjeez ...

  • 3 Narn privateers were shot down (counter up to 8)
  • first vessel lost vs the Narn: a scout to satisfy our curiousity about the new Narn DD-design (see above)
  • True to their announcement and not caring about the Host's rule carifications: Shadows shot down another Spoo-scout.
  • 120.000 eager members of the SPOOmun sect reach the orbit of Centauri Foch and armed with Sighs they happily jump down to proselytise the Centauri. As promised by SPOO, all find enlightenment except 4.800 lone Centauri.

  • Spoo attacks Centauri Franklin but in vain: 5 beta-DD "Special Circumstances" lost.
It was worth a try although the chances too succeed were low. The Cenaturi dock was already upgraded in 2458... probably a somewhere lurking Shadow scout spotted my approaching ships. Aah what a pity, it would had been a mighty prize and securing all my NE-flank.
  • Spoo pop invasion of Centauri Foch successful
  • wormhole 1 (W1) confirmed, wormhole 2 (W2) vanished, wormhole 3 (W3) discovered
  • Hyak enter the East via the Narn backdoor: Albemuth is a Hyak colony and 4 CC+LF hover over the Narn planet Emerald.

More warships, more bombers... things do heat up:
  1. Vorlon fleet heading fro Drakh HW: 2 coll-BB, 1 jihad-BB, 2 CC, 12 LF (reinforcments close behind: 1 coll-BB + 1 LF)

  2. Vorlon fleet heading for Oshun?: 49 CC (Voyeur (scrap), 4 coll, 72% stealth (now 119-ly SE of Oshun)

  3. Vorlon fleet heading for Narn/Spoo territory: 1 jihad-BB, 6 b17

  4. Hyak fleets heading for Narn/Spoo territory: about 30 CC, 6 b17, lots of LFs, sfx etc.
Battle Reports show that the Vorlons seem to have at least Gaim and Spoo set to enemy (probably all of the IA).

SPOOmun Complat
  • conquered Narn planet Kan
  • shot down several Vorlon and Ipsha scouts within Narn/Spoo territory
  • Further plans to attack lone Hyak LFs or small planets are stopped: Hyaks have begun to guard everything with CCs
  • in a joint venture with the Pak'ma'ra weap9 could be gained by shooting down the weap10-wolves previously transfered by the Vorlons

Drakh
  • Vorlon attack Drakh HW but due to battleboard manipulation, Drakh were able to shoot down 5 sfx and 3 LFs (fully loaded=360k pop killed)
  • Drakh colonists kill 300k invading Vorlons at Smorgasbord... Vorlons have 830k pop left in their freighters
  • Drakh loose planet Hoho to Earth who attack with 70k colonists
Gaim
  • MT gives Gaim Enigma Pulsar engine
  • Ipsha conquere Gaim planet Knife by pop-drop
Llort
  • Ipsha attack Llort planet Zucchini by pop-drop, Llort colonists win
Misc
  • Vorlon stop Pak/Spoo weap10 tech exchange with the help of formerly transfered Vorlon weap10-wolves... Vorlon BBs shoot down remaining wolves
  • another MT enters space
  • Vorlons are in the process of trading con12 to their allies
  • Vorlons transfer their scouts (25kt) "Smaugarian Peeping Tom" to Earth
  • combined scans show 5mio pop for Hyak, 4mio pop for Ipsha, 3.8mio pop for Vorlons... in comparison: Gaim with 5.4mio pop as IA-member with by far the most pop

Year 2466

The West:
  • Drakh HW "hw5" under attack by a Vorlon Fleet, Earth bombers close by plus all kinds of reinforcements from Vorlons
  • Drakh planet Spittle orbited by a Vorlon Fleet, bombers 1 year away

The Center:
  • Vorlon fleet v39cc: 39 CC in orbit of Pak'ma'ra planet Spittle
  • Vorlon reinforcements closing in from the southeast (from planet Pi): BBs and bombers; Ipsha and Hyak CCs all over the area

The East:
  • Narn HW "hw16"" under attack by a Hyak Fleet of 20 CC; Hyak reinforcements (CCs, bombers, LFs) and Vorlon BBs and bombers closing in from the southwest

Misc:
  • Skirmishes and pop drops all over the southern frontier between the Alliance of the Free and the Vorlon Alliance
  • Shadows transfer tech con 10 to Llort
  • SPOOmun Complat conqueres small Hyak planet Simple by pop-drop and shoots down 1 Hyak CC

Gaim/Llort, feel free to share with the Shadows how the tactical situation looks like in the south and what kind of fleets and where the Vorlon alliance has deployed. And hassle them a bit that it is weap tech you need if you shall be of any use to make life a bit difficult for the Vorlon alliance... not con 10.

Last year, in 2465, the center gate at Magellan was only "secured" by 3 Ipsha colloid-CCs.

1st May is approaching and as some of you might know and some not, this is usually quite an event in Berlin and I am living right in the middle of it.

Berlin-Kreuzberg is kind of under siege with roughly 10,000 cops from all over Germany and most of the special units of the 16 "Bundesländer" are practicing "suppressing revolts & urban fighting".

Thus it might be I am not responding as fast as usually.

Drakh:
# HW down to 198k pop

Gaim:
# Ipsha attack on Hoof and Mouth fenced off: 7 Ipsha CC destroyed

Llort:
# M.T.Probe shoots down 15 Earth minelayers, yeah, that hurts
# Ipsha bomber-fleet leaves Stove Top to bomb nearby planet Yank instead and thus battlegrid-manipulations at Stove Top don't work out

Pak:
# planet 555 lost to Vorlons

Spoo:
# move down a rank from 4 to 5
# conquest of small Ipsha colony Corvus
# after throwing 9.8k bora at him, the MT gives out... the Multi Function Pod, arrgh

Narn:
# Battle over Putty and battlegrid manipulations; destroyed: 13 m-cherry, 5 m-lbu --- Vorlon BB "Encounter" 85% damage

Not *that* bad ... the required tech is not to high (especially important here!), it's an elec device so you fittin it on a battle ship which means you get higher speed on top of the jamming and cloaking. You can use cheaper engines and still get fast beamer BBs ... remember BB only has one mech slot to fit a jet or OT ... Together with the EP it might be overkill in speed (not checked) but of course you can use as above cheaper engines ...

* Spoo South Fleet starts bombing Hyak planet Timoshenko
* Spoo Centre Fleet stops shortly before Alcoa: to attack or not attack... pilots not sure wether they should mess with a full-fledged jugger-ultra-station supported by phased sapper BBs.
* Reconquest by pop-drop of former Pak planet 555 failed. Admiral Souljuggler comments: "Hey, it was a gamble and it was worth it but we lost it."
* Sneak attack on Mallard successful: 5 change of heart and 1 LF (900kt cargo) shot down. Admiral Souljuggler comments: "It was a gamble and it was worth it and we have won it, yeah!"
* lots of skirmishes along the centre and Narn frontier between scouts and hunter and anti-hunter

* VA features a battlegrid manipulation design now:
14kt, Red Ants (2)

# Spoo South Fleet attacked, bombed (286k pop) and conquered Hyak planet Timoshenko

2480
# Spoo Centre Fleet attacks and bombs (94k pop, 381 buildings) Hyak planet Alcoa

But does anybody understand the design of the Hyak Ultra at Alcoa? Especially when considering that there was a mighty phased jugger blaster one there the year before?

Build the wrong upgrade? Laughing Though the name seems clear ...
Maybe they were expecting crowding again, which *could* make sense to mount the blackjacks that to more damage than juggers, even more with chaff envolved ...

No doubt I'll be losing my center planets soon (there are several of them, 3 *good* ones, and 3 small ones) but this turn both Ipsha and Hyak had to suck it up when their minor assault fleets met a base with a small upgrade vs last year base.
Can't believe they expect me to not make those small upgrades, I would do it just to make the design unknown should they miss to ping ... (and yes I know I don't need to change anything for that but just copy the design and rebuild that at no cost. Wink )

Hi guys, wazzup?

Yeah, I just thought I should let you know that for some strange reason, that's right, I can post on your thread. And see everything you've written in this forum. Yeah.

So, anyway, I figure you should probably try to get it fixed, maybe someone should talk to Ron or something.

Alright, that's it. Later.

After I had read Michas message that everybody can read our forum, I cleaned it a bit: mainly tech-, player- and mapdata.

So, do you think we can use the "private" forum again?

# Silver: Llort manage to shoot down 7 mm80 (Earth), 11 Vorlon b17-cherries and 11 Vorlon LFs with altogether 10890kt cargo (probably almost 1.1mio pop).

# Spoo South Fleet attacks Hyak planet Pitstop and shoots down the heavy phased jugger Ultra. Bombs kill 213k pop and raze 358 buildings. Unfortunately the loss of 23 out of 55 Spoo CC Meadowmakers makes it rather a Pyrrhic victory, especially because 3 Hyak Shieldee BBs will arrive next year.

# Spoo forces kill off the remaining population of Ipsha colony Corvus and conquere the planet.

# Spoo Centre Fleet continues bombing of Alcoa (101k pop, 457 buildings).

# Gaim attack Ipsha Boca Raton and kill off the feeble resistance of a BB and fort... "Where are our bombers?", some of the Hive Guardian pilots mumble.

# Gaim trader with MT and get the design of the very light and cheap Hush-a-Boom which has the slight setback that it needs bio 12.

# Llort drops in ranks from 6th to 9th.

One can forgive the Spoo translators for their mistake, the question the pilots asked was "Where are their bombers?" which were the actual target of the raid, but one fleet decided to head south instead and the other stayed put instead of merging as expected...
