Hi there!!!

Stumbled across this site yesterday and it's brought back a lot of happy memories skiving lectures at university to play stars! up in the comp lab for 12 hours a day.

I'm dying to get back into the game as I really loved it, but I'm having a lot of trouble trying to find out where I can actually get the game files from to play.

It was actually my search for them that brought me to this site.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much, I'd seen this page but wasn't sure if there was somewhere else I could obtain the full version.

I'm guessing what I'll have to do is download the tiral patch it and get a serial code to unlock it.

 Actually, http://starsautohost.org/files/stars26jrc4.zip IS the complete game, last patch INCLUDED, so no need to patch anything yourself.

Thanks for the serial link too, I actually did that last night and sent a donation in, at the time I didn't quite know what the serials were for it you needed to already have stars! or not, but I'm now eagerly awaiting a serial so I can jump rihgt in and start playing/.

I know there's a link here to the latest greatest package but my friends and I are ramping up for our first game in a few years and we were all running 2.7jRC3. The file linked above is for 2.6, not 2.7, so I'm curious as to what patch level we should be at to work with AutoHost when running 2.7.

 go with 2.6JRC4, unless you really want the sound effects, in which case 2.7JRC3 will probably be ok...very occasionally it causes problems

2.6 and 2.7 are exactly the same except that 2.7 has sound during battles and can play mp3's during game play.

The latest patch is jrc4 and was only put out for 2.6
