I wouldn't call it "an early warning".
More like "an early gloating".

So you thought you'd take advantage of me missing a turn did you ? Sneaky

Are you sure those 3 packets are actually big enough ?
Gonna be close ...

Yes. It is often so tempting to build cruisers, galleons or battleships. Confused Some seemingly do it not but secretly build destroyers or frigates. Shame People, be strong like Foodfight! Cool Minerals out of window and problem solved. Smug

Missing a turn? No, just needed to get bases upgraded to the newest foodapult. That is what determined the timing.

Actually, they will probably not be enough. Noticed you have a foodcatcher.

You are correct, I should not gloat. It will attract the attention of all those races bigger than Foodfight. They will all be wanting our food!

A female voice penetrates the silence:

"And we are now reporting LIVE from Early Orbit, where a wonderful crowd is getting louder and louder as the first packet is now clearly visible, and it's right on target! Isn't it riiiiiight on target, Mav?"

"It is indeed on target, we can get impact any time now... As we saw in our last report {camera zooms in at men behind a laser defense}, the guys at the ground are in reaaaaal trouble now!"

"Hahaaaaa, yes! We have a little girl here that wants to say goodbye to her... classmate, right? Come here girl, what you have to say?"

"Lena, I really hated you, I hate you still and I wish you will die die die!"

"Die die die, now that's the true Early spirit! And... Oh there it goes!!!!! Woooooow! Oh my this is terrible... Damn, we lost sound at the planet! But... ah... hello.......... do we have survivors, Mav?"

"Let's see... Yes, we have survivors... It's always hard to find one that doesn't come with stupid questions like... why there aren't enough freighters and such... Well... We're looking for one on the ground and time is running out! If anyone on the ground is listening... You now have the chance to be remembered for ever before the second packet strikes! Oh my the people are getting really excited here, listen."

"Food! Food! Food! Food! Foodfoodfoodfood, fofofofofofofofo..."

"Well Mav, it may be... we're not sure, hahaha, but it may just be that the second packet is now clearly visible! Oh yes! Let's hope it gets here on time, as there has been recent foodfight investments in better drivers, is that correct?"

"You are fully correct, Mansi, they did a lovely job, but also, these drivers give less time to respond... Everybody keep watching the channel day and night! We have no reports of any intercepting ships. Wait........ No, there are no ships around to snatch this one out of the air or they would have been visible a few minutes ago! There it cooooooooooomes!!!!!!! Goodbye survivors, have a nice afterlife!"

"Um..."

"???"

"Huh....."

"A ship???"

"Where the hack..... I didn't see that one coming... Two!!! Oh my goodness, where did they come from??? It seems the packet has companyyyyyyyy..."

"It is the... nRavergz... Oh we're so sorry to report this... It seems some stealthy ships came out of nowhere and our now snatching the packet for some reason... at a lightyear distance it's clearly visible... Uh-oh, they're not going to make themselves popular... We see a lot of thumbs down here... It's outragous..."

"This boy wants to say something. Can you explain to everybody watching the show why everybody is angry here in Early Orbit?"

"I believe the people at the ground are heros! Not you! Not the dirty foodfight sending dirty packages!!!"

"What's your name, boy?"

"Raoel, miss."

"...... Ladies aaaaaaand Gentlemen! We found another chaff pilot volunteer!!!"

Things are getting really scary now.
Not only do we have the omnipotent --Q-- to deal with but we also have beings from another dimension visiting our universe.
I suppose he calls himself --R-- ? Rolling Eyes

I kind of miss having my skies filled with all those brightly coloured packets.
My citizens now have to sit and watch exploding minefields every evening.

--------

Anyone else having trouble spotting the vanishing MTs ?
I keep receiving messages that an MT has changed course.
When I try and find the darn ship it isn't visible.
What is going on ?
I've got 9,900kT of volunteers (actually it's the booby prize for those people that didn't get any numbers in last weeks lotto) ready to meet one of these MTs.
See if something really wonderful happens to them.

Yakayaka.
