So when do get back to a normal schedule? Not that I'm complaining [maybe I am], but I don't remember seeing a posting or email about it so I'm just curious.

Has anyone seen a young Stars! game? It went missing just before Christmas. Somewhere around 2427 it just disappeared. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I was just starting to get interested in the little guy and now he's gone. Sentimtntal value. Reward of universal dominance for return.

If everybody in no action has required and you can keep 999 Smile
I enjoy the pause but I don't mind to lose all those days unless somebody needs the stop.
Not pushing. Just as Blood says becoming too relaxing can sort out strange effects.... Sad
I've already experienced that in another game.
Better having set a shorter amount.
Anyway at this time Robert should be already back so something will move.
I think the 2nd of January would be fine while Robert could asks for a Friday generation too.
I guess if asked almost everybody would submit in a short time.

We're living in 2005, there are internet cafe's all around the globe... So before going on a holiday, email your .h and serial key to yourself. Then in the cafe:

- Download/unzip the client program (it is on autohost, see link on winter.htm page).
- Download .xy file.
- Get .h file from email.
- Download .m file(s), as usual.
- Enter serial key when starting up stars.exe.
- Play the turn as usual.
- Submit the .x as usual.
- Email yourself the new .h file (good practice anyway).

In some countries or cafe chains they have some software hindering your download efforts, but usually you can create directories and such from your browser save dialog.

The overhead is only TEN MINUTES per turn, you know. If too much, ask your ally to play - that was the original idea... I don't have to mention how I feel about stopping the game anymore, right? Rolling Eyes

Well....

in my example I was on a diving-safari and on that boat there was no internet-cafe.

I can imagine several other holidays with no internet access, like skiing or mountaineering...

Very Happy

... and I can imagine several other games with no skydiving / mountain climbing / deep see diving access Smile

BUT... I'll be waiting... Impatiently... So far the game setup works out very nicely. Even worth repeating maybe.

I won't say where am for holiday (and still here), out of fear the universe would conspire against me. It's 27 degree Celsius everyday, and I'm surrounded by ocean. And I have highspeed internet access in my room.

Cheers!
