Hi There!

I'm hosting one game on AH and I'm going to change generations time from mon, tue, wen, fri at 10 o'clock (Warsaw time) to 48h gens from next monday (18 november) - generations will be every day: mon, wed, fri, sun, tue, thu, sat, mon... and so on.. Smile

What I need to change in Host Utility? Is it possible? (oh, and generations should be at 9 GMT)..

If anyone have experience with this.. Smile help, I don't want to do any experiments on running game.. Smile

Bye

Its not possible to have the gen times 48h at a given time (9pm as example). Except u want to change the timetable every week , as u can set autohost to Mo We Fr Su as example but then ud have to switch it to Tu Th Sa manually , so id suggest going for 3 turns a week instead Wink.

Game hosts sometimes get confused about how this kind of 'schedule' works.

If a game is set to 48 hours gen, and is not using the actual schedule controls, then AutoHost starts counting from the time of the last turn gen.

If all active player turns are in before the 48 hours is reached, AutoHost will generate the turn and start counting from the time the turn gened. If not all turns are uploaded before the 48 hours is reached, then the turn is force generated.

AutoHost always counts number of hours since that last turn gen.

This can cause problems if a game is put on hold.

Example: Game is set to gen on 48 hours (not using actual schedule controls). Last turn generated was on Tuesday at 12pm. On Wednesday at 4pm the game host has to put the game on hold due to a player vacation. The game is taken off of hold Sunday at 6pm and immediately generates a turn. Why? Because as soon as the game was taken off of hold, AutoHost saw that it last generated more than 48 hours ago, so it gens immediately.

The time a game is on hold is not taken into account.
