What's a good design/usage strategy for freighter chaff (to protect flying orgies)?

small freighter with QJ5 or FM. Go warp 10 if needed ... who cares.

Idea...

Usage ...
Main orgy should move relatively slowly, well escortedly and speed-trappedly behind the front. Have thousand or more freighter chaffs with the main orgy. Very huge numbers do not help here... need only enough to keep your opponents thinking of other tactical scenarios. If it is owerflowing then its best to planet-hop. Make plans when you take over what and split out pop-pomb teams from the main orgy. When you split out pop-bomb team put hundred or more freighter chaffs with it.

I don't think that it is necessary to use the Small Freighter hull for freighter chaff; I've seen Scouts with a Cargo Pod used effectively. This tactic is also useful for SS to protect their Robber Baron mineral raiding fleets. Twisted Evil

Yes ... scouts and frigates with cargo (best weight and cost) and also colony ships (best fuel) work too.

Just keep in mind that this is not normal chaff in the sense that you will lose most of it in each serious battle and so need it in thousands. It is for to keep the kamikadzes away. Nod
