Accelerated game?

I was thinking lately about trying an accelerated game. Maybe 2 gens/day on weekdays, no gens on weekends? Does autohost allow this, or does it only work for 1 turn/day?

Autohost can be set for a maximum interval between turn generation, so presumably you could set this for 12 hours.
Setting a fixed generation would be required for not running a turn on the weekend, and when using the fixed generation schedule there is only an option for ONE generation each day.

So to answer your question, not at the present time, unless you do the changes each week manually, or run the second turn each day manually.

I believe it would work if you put in ".5" in the field, meaning gen once every 12 hours.

But as Kang pointed out, you couldn't do that AND have a set schedule on certain days.

But of course, you could set the gen schedule to 12 hours, and then turn off gens on friday... but when you set to gen on monday you have to be careful... resetting schedules can lead to spurious gens.

Sounds like a lot of careful micromanagement :/
Not something I'd like to try.

However, if anyone else wants to try this out, I'm definitely up for a game. Smile
