I suffer frequent crashes when I either try to read or - especially - try to post something. It doesn't seem to be connected to any partiuclar post, but it just shuts down IE (v.5) without any option to do anything. It just reports an error and goes closing.

What could this be?

IE 5.00, 5.01?

I'd recommend at least IE 5.5, or higher.

Personally, I'm using Firebird from Mozilla at
http://www.mozilla.org/products/firebird/

I love all the 3rd party plugins that are availble for it, including one that won't run any Flash-based animations (advertisements) unless you first click on them. Another handy one is 'Open this link in IE' for those proprietary sites that only support IE.

Thanks, I was allready considering something like that. But shouldn't this forum work properly even with just IE?

IE 5.5, yes. Don't know about the older versions.
