Edog,

The Atredies now have a colonizer heading to Hummingbird and they have 4 fast privateer transports at their HW ready to fill up hummingbird. If your minelayer does not leave this turn and arrive it two turns, it will not be in time to stop him from taking Hummingbird and holding it with 100K+ colonists. This planet is key to our conquest of the gap. Please remove your minelaying task from the minelayer and send it directly to Hummingbird immediately. It's now or never.

You need to delete both the minelaying tasks at Lambda and Erasmus so the minelayer can move and leave the minelaying task at Hummingbird so it can lay on arrival. If you lay mines in two turns on arrival, and then set it to detonate that same turn, it will block his transports for at least 3 turns. Your minelayer, of course, will have to leave the same turn since it will not survive the detonation. But it can go to Erasmus and lay mines there for a couple of turns. In three turns, you can unclick the detonation, and sneak into and refresh the minefield. This will work since he cannot know what turns you will be detonating it and what turns you won't.

Edog,

I put my battle speed 3/4 xray laser armed DD into the battle simulator and discovered it was still fast enough to kill his colonizer. So I am sending the DD to Hummingbird to kill is incoming colonizer. That will strand his transports without being able to unload. It will take quite a while to get another colonizer there. By then we will have a good minefield there as well as Erasmus. I'm also building another minelayer since I think two will be easier to manage.

Please detonate the minefield at Lambda next turn. Will you also confirm these orders to me so I will know for sure that his transports will be destroyed? I could build a fort but wouod prefer not doing that until I can build something bigger Smile

Thanks

Please detonate the minefield at Hummingbird this turn and confirm this to me. Also, move the minelayer at Hummingbird to Eramus. He will have 14 DDs arriving this turn and I'd like to inflict maximum damage on them. Can you build me 3 little hens and transfer them to the Protons so they can eventually transfer them them back to you in my area.

Thanks

Minefield is detonating (hope you're moving those freighters!). ML is moved. I'll put your Little Hens in the queue - look for them to transfer to the Protons w/in 2 years (BTW: Protons, make sure you have a clear design slot for this).

I'm buried between work and family this week - I'll have the Riot Grrlz' State of the Union Undressed done over the weekend.

EDog,

Can you move one MML from Mitchel to McClellan as well as dropping minefields to the south of both planets. Not to far out though since there are enemy DDs on thier way north.

If you don't need your turtle at Saddam pass it to me and I can move it to the front.

Let me know if you ever plan to detonate the minefield at Blush since I plan on moving transports through there on thier way to worm.

Thanks,
Ozone

I think we need more MMs around McClellen and Mitchell. It looks like this is where the battle ground will be and I think a huge fight is brewing here. We also need warships here. Does anybody know why they would have traded their Mini-bombers to the Shades. I see all the bombers but don't know why they are here unless the Shades at IT.

Edog,

Please turn of the detonation at hummingbird and move the minelayer at Eramus to Hummingbird this turn and to Bipai the next turn. Please confirm the minefield is inactive since I am moving my fleet there. Great work by the way. His fleet is trashed and I should be able to take the offensive in this region.

Thanks

Agree.

EDog - I definitly need your MLs in a defensive role around McClellan and Mitchell at the moment. I think they are venturing too far south.

I think you should detonate the field at Mitchell to get rid of that pesky Angst scout - it might also catch those two nearby DDs if they try to sweep. That scout is providing them with too much intel. Please post if you are going to detonate the field.

I would like to turn my DDs over to someone to defend Mitchell and McClellan - who wants to fight them for me?

I will reach W8 this turn and don't want to have to build any more Yak warships. I will keep lambing at least until everyone is up to W8. By that time I should have W10 as well. Colloidal FFs will make all of thier minigun DDs obsolete. I could really use some energy scrappers so that I could be ready to build some decent FFs.

Filling up now.

Also you need to divert the privateer returning from Thon to Saddam to Abrams instead to pick up that pop so Funzel can have that 90% planet. Also build an identical fort to one already there so you can delete that fort (if it's a one of a kind you can delete it and if the new one is identical except for name, you build it for zero cost).

I plan to request the proton give up some worlds as soon as he establishes himself in all of our areas if he's occupying planets that are green to others and within reach to them. So you will get more greens as you expand westward and hopefully south as well.

Edog,

You did not mention if you detonated the field at Mitchell or not. I moved away from the planet in hopes that you did (will). If you can do it before you take the game off hold please do.

Thanks,
Ozone

Thanks, it did the trick - got rid of the angst scout and also took out two incoming DDs. Please turn the field off this turn.

Please confiem you will not Detonate the minefield at Bipai on turn 2427

[This message is cancelled since it was intended for turn 2426]
I am going to move all my ships from Bipai and I'd like you to detonate the minefield there for just one turn to kill off those scouts. I'll re-fuel the minelayer and you can move it to Distopia with my fleet. Any ideas when I'll get a couple MMs down here. Things are going to be heating up around here very soon.

Thanks

Hi EDog,

I could use a mine field at Basket Case. Some fields around Taton would be nice also.

Also - please detonate the field at McClellan. I have asked Paladin to move away from there as well.

Thanks,
Ozone

Hey Edog,

Please move the 1st minelayer at Bipai to Sherman and the one at Empty to Ziggurat? Are there any MM's heading my way or can I replace these with frigate models that lay more mines and have more fuel? I don't want to clog up your slots with extra minelayers and these are pretty poor.

Thanks

Edog,

Whats's going on? You've ignored at least two recent requests to detonate minefields as well as killing your own transports with detonating minefields? Had you detonated the minefield at McClellon, we would have inflicted 60 points of damage to all 50 frigates.

If you are busy with life getting in the way of the game (it happens to all of us from time to time), let us know and we'll cover for you and do your turns for a while but we need to know that if we ask for minelayers to move or minefields to be detonated/deactivated, we need to know it will happen. You roleon this team is vital for us to win and we need you to join in the discussions and we need to know we can count on you to fill requesrs.

Minelayers moving into positions around Taton and Basket Case. I have no resources at McClellan to lay mines.

BTW, I now have Heavy Minelayers available - will those be more effective against the Croby Frigates (are they ramscooped?)

If I missed a request for detonations, I apologize. I'm checking the Forum before I submit my turn. If you make a request afterward, I'm not going to see it. The transports that were destroyed are a design I've been phasing out to free up another design slot, so no great loss.

I want to make it clear that I am still committed to this game. As Paladin has taken on the leadership position, I'm happy to let him do the majority of the worrying. In spite of balancing three jobs and a pregnant wife and two toddlers, I'm not planning to leave this game any time soon. If I can't take 20 minutes every day or so to follow what's going on and put in a turn, I'll let you all know. In the meantime, let's try and focus on sneaking a force in to take the flag world.

I need MMs in your possesion so you can detonate the minefields so please have the Protons transfer them back to myou after they arrive in my zone (Ozone please confirm). Also make sure he gets OAs to your planets with gates.

I'd like one at Ziggurat, and two at Sherman.

Thanks
