Not true according to official records. With respect to UK it was something like 5 died from friendly fire, 8 from action and about a dozen and a half from accidents. This was out of 159 coalition death total on the 21st of April.

Ok. Thanks for the figures.
With respect to the relatives of those killed, 159 sounds a low (acceptable Question ) total.

I love gas sucking monster cars. The toys of my youth. Very Happy Have a 73 Buick Riviera with 455 (7.5 litre for you newbies) engine. It runs good, sounds good and looks good, burgundy with white vinyl top. Anybody remember what a boattail looked like? And best of all, if you lean on it it doesn't leave a dimple or dent. Very Happy
That sucking sound from the south isn't NAFTA, it's me in the Riv. Very Happy

Nah, give me a city-jetting hybrid small small car rather than an American monster.

I failed 3 times on one driving test because I had to reverse park behind one:

  1. Hitting the kerb Sad
  2. Taking more than 5 movements to complete the maneuveur Crying or Very Sad
  3. Asking the examiner for assistance Crying or Very Sad Crying or Very Sad

I live in the inner city in a terrace house and I've got no off-street parking - every night I have to trawl through the streets looking for a parking spot. Can you imagine parking a huge American car there? I've got enough trouble with my family's Ford Falcon.

Can't wait until I get out and get a real job and get a super fuel efficient car. Maybe a Mazda bubble car or something. With the price of petrol right now in Sydney - I think it'd definitely pay off.

they made me do it

Do you mean the 121 Bubble from the 90's, or the new Hydrogen car ?
We have a newish 121 in Britain, but I wouldn't call it a bubble car.

FACT: Only one car was given more speeding tickets that the smart car in 2002 - the BMW Z3.

FACT: A smart car is capped at 90mph. They could do much more... (remember... a 0.6 litre engine isn't alot... but put it on a car as light as a smart car....)

That probably says more about who owns the smart cars than anything else. I never heard of smart cars, but I'm guessing the kids like 'em. Very Happy

Yeah, but it probably takes 3 or 4 days on flat ground to get it going that fast from a standstill. Laughing

Say, before I make too much fun of it, where's it produced? Twisted Evil

Fantastic car.

Smart cars are mostly driven by young spoilt kids and housewives whos husband has another car they use for work or whatever.

Smart cars are popular second cars (because they've got 2 seats).

They're made by Daimler Chrysler, Mercedes and Swatch (yes the watch makers!!!!)

Not too sure on how fast they are to accelerate... but considering they're in town run arounds it shouldn't be too shabby.

I love smart cars (I'm not a smart car seller!!!)

I have a truck that gets 50 mpg too. It's a 79 Ford Bronco XLT Ranger - 4WD with a 400 (6.6L) engine. Unfortunately it's 50 meters per gallon, or pretty close to it, depending on the wind. UFO abduction

Haven't been here for a while. Sad to see that a thread about the war in Iraq (quite a serious subject I would have thought) is now about the Americans'love for oil and their big cars. No, for sure, you have not even thought that there is oil in Iraq. Never. How do you dare to even think this? But hey, I don't want to start a new troll war...

Every major party, by the reassurance that they will always have some sort of power, can say whatever they want and do whatever they want it and secure still a large part of the vote.

That's why I vote the greens. There's no reason to believe they're lying... yet..!
