Ok, you wount like it...

When we started this game, we discussed to play in large or huge, and finally for whatever reason we decided to play in huge.

Huge with 16 players is still... ok.... but now half the players dropped out, dont submit, so actually we play with 8 players in huge... thats no more fun, is it?

It is not only the MM that will be killing us soon, it is also
the fact that the one with more drop-outs will make the run, not the best player. In all games someone has the advantage, but here with half players dropouts the advantage is enermous.

I would like to know how large the fun-factor for you out there is, cause I think about finding a replacement for me, I cand stand the MM any more soon, but If even more players will drop out soon, I wount need to take the effort to find someone...

So - are you all having fun and want to play on???
So I will also play, or find a good replacement...
(I hate drop outs, so I wount just do the same...)

Robert

Well, I demand a MWF schedule. That's the one thing I insist. It's getting too much to play MTWTF.

If the game is boring, why don't we spice it up a bit? Why don't we put some goals in now, or something? If we have enough consensus from the remaining players, then I'm sure something could be worked out.

I don't mind having lots of MM, just time to do it would be good.

It is a shame that there are a lot of dropouts, but I did cause one of them. The Mamba were playing well until the situation was hopeless for them. It was a shame that the Mijoser and the Gannoks dropped out early, and I would say the surrounding players have taken great advantage of that, but similarly I think the Taak by staying with their HW has left their surrounding areas for colonisation.

It is not the MM i dont like... (Why should I have played SD?)

And also another schedule would not help, it is not the time I need to invest into a turn, it is just booooring, cause 3 of my 4 neighbours dropped out... And one remaining I could start some action...ok...

But it will take ETERNITIES until I will come to some real action, the next other neighbour is soooo far away... I think
for the next 10 turns there will happen nothing (despite one world that is under attack...)

It is not that I feel that I am in a bad position, actually I am rank2, with most pop in freighters, so actually my resourses are much better than score shows, also I got 2 neighbours with easy to pick planets, so I am still in full expansion... but it takes soooo long...

I have some freighters that will need 7-8 turns until they reach
their destination... that means 2 weeks, and with mdf schedule
nearly 3 weeks...

Wall Bash

What I would like is some schedule like 3-gens-at-once every day
for 2-3 weeks, to speed things up a bit...

You probably see where I think the problem is... not the MM,
not my time...

That may help ya Mr Borg but in my turns I need to plan carefully to attempt to push you back, and 3 turns at once would only aid you whilst affording me no benefit whatsoever. I can understand the frustration and with that in mind I can only say hats off to {}{}{} who by all accounts looks to be on a hiding to nothing (sorry mate!) and yet is still playing and attempting to kick Cancer arse! Surprised

The thing which struck me most about this game was the distinct lack of diplomacy from what I assume were the newer players. It probably needs to be pointed out to anyone that any three or so players together can be a threat to anyone how ever large they or their enemy are. I myself learnt (before forgetting most of it!) this game by being a very junior partner.

I dont know what to suggest except that I will try to make things more interesting for you soon Confused

Speed up or slow down?[ 8 votes ]
1. Speed up 4 / 50%
2. Slow down 1 / 13%
3. keep it as it is Smile 3 / 38%

I'd be happy to hear suggestions for speeding up/slowing down the game, although It would have to be the will of the majority...

Personally I would happy speeding it up, my turns seem to be taking about 15 minutes a day tops (which might explain my lousy position)... Confused

I think we started out with some excelent role playing in this game. Yeah, alot of players have dropped. I expected as much with a Huge game, that's why I tried to tone it down to a Large. We oviously have a skill range descrepancy as well. When you unlink fun from winning, the game can still be fully entertaining. You generally learn the most by losing to better players.

None of my neibors have dropped, which actually makes it more interesting for me I supose (even if it's a disadvantage in the long run). It's fun to play a bad guy Smile
