I have nine emails of people who wish to play, and six race files to go along with them. The bugging shall commence immediately.

It's currently Tuesday morning in my universe, and I'll need the files by Thursday evening latest.

The following are the Nine Riders:

The most fun part of game setup is figuring out who the players are that you've never seen before. Some of them perhaps I missed in my (cough) years playing stars? Some are brand new, which is always joyful to me.

So far so good, waiting on two files (very responsive, thank you!) and two race changes, and one player not responding. So don't be surprised if this is an 8-player game. I don't dig blank slates (email accounts that don't respond to communication) anymore. Used to, don't now.

Kind of late to the party but if still possible would like to play. If filled up no problem but will send race file just in case.

Such a list of not necessary as any kind of communication between players is against the rules.

Hi ,
Do I missed something ?

The Rule:
Players will be listed in the forum as participating, but player names will not be announced on SAH or in the game; Player 1, Player 2 etc.

So the rule is to tell us who is playing and to be clear forum names are the best.

I like to guess who is who in the game.

As we seems to have change from players it is normal to ask who is real playing and who is not.

Have I missunderstand something ?

I think the game is meant to hide who we are playing against.
We can know who all are playing in the game, but not know what race name / player name they have in the game.

There are advantages to knowing which player is playing what race, even with no comms, as you can then have a rough estimate of the race skill...
or if you want to avoid a fight with one neighbour and start attacking another because you don't like them Razz

I'm personally okay either way.

I know my minefields.. but I'm a chaff sweeper.
I used to curse when I got stuck in traffic... till I realised I AM traffic.

I haven't seen a definitive list of who is playing and I think this is what ccmaster is asking about.

Do I assume correctly, that we can expect the turns today? tonight? tomorrow morning europan time?

Oh... and are we going to have a X-Borders visualization/animation later and everyone needs to collect his turns to do so?

Yes I do believe the list of players themselves is available, since I already mentioned it previously.

dlrichert, Nmid, Braindead, LE, Zorgon, LudiMagister, CCMaster, Robert, and paran0rmal are playing.

As for the post-game, I'll get the files and send them to whomever really loves X-Force or Ex-Stars, so they can create the thingamagig.

I think your previous post listed NBN instead of dlrichert. I assume NBN dropped and was replaced by Dave?

It's taking them quite some time to fix it. Can't you just patch it up?

If they gave you a HE with too high a growth rate, just lower it and set the remaining points to defenses.
If it's a joat with NAS, just uncheck NAS and lower growth rate to compensate.
If they selected CA or IT, replace them with a random PRT (I'm sure they love surprises!).
Finally, if they have a problem with the name, just pick one.

It's a five minute fix no matter what the problem Smile

4.	None (Stay at daily turns)	0 / 0%

This game will start off really slow. The original announcement stated daily turns. Personally, I wouldn't mind speeding that up a little at the beginning.

We could either go to:
One turn every 12 hours.
Or:
Not keep to a strict schedule (i.e. the turn generates as soon as all players are in).
Or even:
Combine the two above.

Let me know what you think in this poll (actual players in the game only, please!)
