I've done a simulation of the universe, and there are a few items I'd like to address.
Robert - the mineral concentrations are a minimum of 30%, but I have never given out a universe with less than 50. I think the range one could actually expect is 50 - 80 for germ, the others 40-90. If I create a universe with 88% Iron, c'est la vie.
All planets will be centered in their cluster. With a 300ly cluster and 25 planets, a large number of them will be close by.
Which brings me to the last item. The initial build states the center circle of worlds will be 35 * number of players in a 300ly circle. That's more than it sounds. I've taken the time to create a test universe, and gave one cluster the required 25 planets. I think the center cluster might could be a bit larger, because even at 390 ly diameter, it's crowded after only editing one cluster. Please see the link for files.

A question,
How wide is the player starting cluster with the 30 planets. How many planets will be in 1year or 2 year jump.
How far are the clusters of each player. We know 300 lj to the center cluster, but are the other players closer ?
How dense is the centeral cluster with planets.

First of all, I'd like to correct a number. I originally stated that the HW-clusters will have 25 planets (not 30). However, I'm going to modifiy this slightly: Each cluster will have between 20 and 25 planets. This is mainly to make things a little easier for Victor, who will have to do a whole lot of moving planets around anyway. But once he has decided on a number, all HW-clusters will have the same number of planets.
The HW-clusters will have a diameter of 300 LYs +/- 15%. Distance of planets within the cluster to the HW will be determined by chance. You might have several near to the HW, you might have only a few. Just as in normal games.
The distance to your two neighbours is determined by geometry. In my testbeds, it was about 800 LYs to each neigbouring cluster.
The central cluster will have a diameter of about 1100 LYs. In a game with 6 players, it will contain about 200 - 240 planets. The densitiy is a matter of maths: 550^2*pi/number of planets. The average distance between planets should be 60 to 70 LYs. However, as this is an average, expect distances from very close to very far. In my testbeds I have seen anything from 15 LYs to 200+ LYs to the next planet.
Before the game starts, there will be another sample universe closely resembling the one we will actually play in.

Yes, but it is real important to have some nummbers for race building. But they will help a lot. Hope the finished version is close to it.

Hi,
Yes but to many times see someone cries later so I try to point it out in front.

PS: Using Colonizer as transporter is not unusual for AR to keep it to 2,2k pop, and for now forbidden by the rules or at least in a grey part.

Hi ,
also missed 1 thing. It should stay there that after 2420 it is forbidden to us colonizer without colonizer module for colonizing worlds.

Thanks!
I'm collecting these questions and matters to be clarified. There will be a separate post when the game starts in which they will all be discussed.
@ all: If anything else comes to mind, please let me know...
Cheers,
Matt
Hi ,
why wait ? Point it out and all can make there tests with updated rules.

Because I haven't got the time atm. And minor clarifications of the rules should not affect your testbeds anyway.
