Hey all:

Used to play a loooooong time ago and now my son has discovered Stars! and loves it. So i want to play with the "newer" version (stars26jrc4)and it require a valid serial number. Found this site and I am hoping there is a way to generate Serial numbers. Just let me know how much $ is required to generate 2 new serial numbers (one for each of us) and where to send it for a code or two!

If it's just for 'private' multiplayer games, you can also use the serial numbers from here: http://www.starsfaq.com/download.htm

Yes, but do not ever use those numbers on Autohost. It is unfortunately too likely that someone else is using one of those serial numbers, too, and if the copy protection kicks in for any reason, then the only solution is to go back to a backup of turn files from a turn before the copy protection kicked in.

I have seen what happens when the copy protection kicks in, both as non-playing host in a team game and with a test setup I had, where I modified a turn for only one race after changing PCs.

Some months ago I noticed SAH is running out of money and donated 10€ via PayPal. Soon thereafter Ron sent me two serial numbers.
