I've been working on my stars-browser project and I'm now close to the point where I want to test uploading game files from the browser directly to AutoHost. Is there some sort of publishing API or should I just reverse engineer the forms on the web pages? Would you mind if I did a test game some time with only 1 or 2 players?
Thanks!
Hello Raptor,
This is uncharted territory, although it was something I wanted and some code was written years ago by my friend Andre Noel, but never finished.
There is no API, only an admin Host Utility page to create the game structure, manual uploading of game files using SFTP, then I SSH into the server and run several scripts that create random passwords for players/host and work a bit more with the file structure, and email out the passwords to the host and players.
Some of this could be done in Host Utility, like the host/player passwords generation and emailing them out (or it could just call the existing scripts I already made)
