corrupt race files

Not sure what the right place to ask is, but a lot of time if I save a race from the race wizard and try to load it is says "the game file xxx.r1 appears to be corrupt, unable to load file".

Do other people have the same problem? Any solution?

linux + wine + starsjrc4

Here is the reason and a solution:
Corrupt race file due to changed race name

Already corrupted race files are lost, though, and can't be repaired.

Thanks! That also explains why I didn't have the problem when I just didn't care and kept 'humanoids' for all my race names.

One does wonder what series of programming decisions lead to this bug Smile
