The Makers Manifesto:
1) Treat our neighbors as we would treat ourselves.
2) Act with honour when at all possible.
3) Connect all aspects into the one Web of Life.
4) Tend the Web and help it grow.
5) Find answers to problems, not excuses for them.
6) Unfailingly vigilant at home and abroad.
7) Live, whatever the cost.
These are the rules set down by our God Zapan. We the Makers continually strive to live by them. We share our intent with all races in hopes of creating a better understanding of our actions. Our representatives have made overtures of peace to the governments of several races but that alone does not ensure it. We have as a people, decided that the best deterrent to war is love. Those of you who come to know us through the words of our God will love us as brothers and lift no hand against us. Those of you who are not swayed by our Lords mighty vision .. we will pray for your success in the next life.

Okay Blue this ones for you, since you're prolly the only one to read this. Btw no offense to any religion is intended here. All Gods and mortals are fictional and any resemblance is intended purely for entertainment.
Excerpt from the Elder Legends:
Long ago in a galaxy not so far away there was a God. He was a vengeful, angry God who was often disappointed by his creations. Several times He wiped a planet surface clean and started over with a select few mortals. This is the story of selecting a seed colony before one such cleansing..
God came unto Jaro and said, "Jaro my faithful servant. I have looked upon you and seen that you are good."
The power of his diety's words sent Jaro to his knees, where he remained as the God continued.
"Jaro, I will soon destroy all life on this planet with a Meteor of Doom, or a flood, yes a Great Flood. Prepare Yourself!"
The voice in Jaro's head was over-whelming, too huge to be contained it pounded and throbbed in every part of his being. Trembling Jaro managed a weak reply, "..wha? How?"
To which the God replied, "You will build a boat 40 cubits by 60 cubits by 100 cubits and gather all the species two by two."
Jaro was beginning to cope with the power of the voice but he was still trying to unravel the God's meaning as he waited for further instructions.
After an uncomfortably long time Jaro realized that the message was complete and that he'd better say something (as he was still a little fuzzy on the God's intent).
"um.. Great Lord? .. What's a turbit?? And where am I going to get two hundred of them to build a ship? .. Lord? ..What was that about 'gobbling the species blue by blue?' Shall I name the ship 'Blue'? And shall I build fleets of them to conquer other races?"
Gazing like a lost child into the blue vault of the sky Jaro remained on his knees until the flood waters took him to his final rest. The God had in the meantime gone to look for a less 'perfectly devout' seed with better hearing.

If anyone was indeed offended after reading this, allow me to apologize: "I'm sorry you have so little sense of humour."
