Changing to a registered Stars! while playing a game?

I have started a game with my friend with a unregistered version of Stars!, today I ordered the whole game, but can I just switch to a registered game and get all those advantages of registered game in this game with my friend?

I'm assuming (there's that nasty word again) that you simply purchased a serial number from ol' what's-his-name in Finland and all you need to do is enter the serial number into the shareware version of the game. Question

I'm also guessing that you are playing a hot seat game with your friend on the same computer. Question

You shouldn't have any major problems to contend with that we can't collectively figure out. What with all of us being so smart and all. Crazy

But, as in all things computer, backup all your game files before you make the switchover. Kay? Don't be like me and expect everything to work out in your favor just because you're so good-looking and rich and all. Smile
