Without asking one player to play 4 races (i.e. one superalliance, most of which has been allied for a long while) Lowtek is either going to stall or just be declared.
I suspect (as a member of a different alliance) that the IT/JoAT/SS/IT alliance is not in an ideal position. They control about half of the universe, but I don't think that they haven't been playing as effectively as is possible (this is/was a beginners game after all).
Since two brothers (The SS and one of the IT) have quit we suggested (and it was accepted) that the SS was run by the remaining IT and the JoAT took over the IT (i.e. each player playing an IT and one other).
Now the remaining IT has quit (before playing a turn as both) - so if anyone fancies an IT/SS combo, or indeed if there are multiple people who fancy joining a game which is in 2480ish (Slow Tech, W forced expensive - the biggest battle I've seen so far was BBs and Juggs)

The host and other players have decided the game will continue with or without replacements, with the gen happening latest by Wednesday.
I hope that the karlathi race is not declared dead.

War Status- Karlathi race is at war with the Shofixti + Fish (to it's north) + a cold war against the Shakespeare (to it's north west).
- Lorax is at war against Shofixti (on the west), Space Otters (on the east) and Fish (on the north-east). Has Crowe (Ally) to his north-west.
- Shofixti + Fish are at war against Karlathi + Aerials
- Crowe + Aerials + Karlathi are at war against Shakespeare
- > Shakespeare (IS - amok) is at war with the Crowe (on the north), while the brothers (Aerials/IT + Karlathi/SS) are putting some pressure on him on his southern border.
- Sea Otters is at war against Loraxoids
