Can I get Con 4 asap please? Once I have this I can start colonizing, and I'll set up a Weapons wolf/lamb. How's this sound?

I also really want Con 4 ASAP, so I can start colonising aggressively. And then Con 8. I have 18% pop but planets are basically too slow to ramp up unless they start with 100k pop for me.

Okay -- so Con 4 will be lambed at 2409, this coming turn, correct? I'm setting my research to get con 3 this year, so if I get con 4 the same year I'll be set, and can both get more factories online and set up a wolf/lamb for weaps.

So who is doing con w/l? You can't send privateers to a wolf lamb, they are too expensive. We need somebody with cheap con to get to con 6, then we can do armed frigates in the w/l. I don't know when this can be done. The protons have expensive con research. I too would love privateer, but with germ rich HWs, medium freighters are working pretty well for me. Don't let lack of con 4 allow your planets to overcrowd. Use medium frieghters with a fuel pod. Those scouts we built for the Joat also make very good boosters to add range to you medium freighters.

It seems to me that the Shadallolves (cheap con) are in the best position to do the con research at the moment. If you put up a gate when you reach con 5 you can then hop over and use the existing w/l site.

It looks like a few people are up to prop 5 so I will switch over to prop 7 lambs starting next turn.

Hmmmm... I do have construction cheap... I have been researching electronics up 'til now though in an attempt to increase the range of my built-in penetrating scanners. I will get construction level four next year and was then planning on switching back to electronics... I will leave my research on construction though as it will probably be of the most benefit to the team.

Just so that everyone knows, here is my current research standings:
Energy: 3
Weapons: 3
Propulsion: 5
Construction: 3 (4 in 2409)
Electronics: 4
Biotechnology: 3

When the shadalarks get a gate built on Arafat, you can send the prop 5 lambs to them to be used as wolfs at his wolf lamb site. Be sure to change their orders back to default so they do not attack the SB. Maybe arafat is too close to the front for a w/l (give the other team ideas). Should we just have the const lambs gates to little brother? If we gate to little brother, we will need a couple of spares built in case we lose a couple do to over gating.

Either way, hold onto the prop 5 lambs to use as wolves. We will need more firepower to kill the more heavily armoured frigates.

Thoughts?

If he turns the con lambs over to the protons there would not be gating losses.

Is that true even though my gates will still be crappy 100/250 gates?

Yeah - IT takes less damage and doesn't lose ships to the Void, this is regardless of what gate is being used.

It is true that ITs lose no ships to the void and we could avoid losses by transfering them to the IT. That being said, I would rather lose a lamb or two, than delay getting the tech an extra turn. If we wait a turn to transfer the lambs to the Protons so they will be safe to tranfer, we will lose a turn.

Okay, I have construction 5 and will have construction 6 in two or three years (let you know in 2412). My starbase is being upgraded to have a 100/250 Stargate installed, which will be ready in two years (2413). At which point I will start building the fleets to be used in the wolf lamb construction trading. Sorry this has taken so long, it was a foolish idea for me to have taken Generalized research in a team game. Oh well, learn for next time.

Hi,

About the only thing I would like now is SFXs to expand even faster, and 100/250 SGs and FFs are on the way there so besides that, I don't really want anything quickly.

Oh, can the CA on the team make some DNA scanner lambs? And also maybe some organic armour FF lambs then as well?

I intend to make some lambs when I get gates. I am too close to the enemy to set up a w/l site (I don't want them getting ideas yet). I will build the lambs as soon as I get gates then I ship them up to the w/l site.

Let me know when everyone reaches construction 6, so that I can know if I need to build more lambs. This year I have to build freighters as my population at home is high and I need to bring it back down.

I just made const 4, and thanks for the lambs. Const 5 is key since I will be able to start building OAs and gate them to you(as long as you folks build some warships for me when I need them).

Once the Protons hand out weapons 6, I'll pick up weapons from there. Sound good? I'm one resource away from weaps 2 right now.

Like you, the Protons have only weapons cheap. As IT, they will soon have access to green planets throughout all of our space so their economy should grow very quickly. Since weapons is our most important tech, the Protons should do it so we don't fall behind in the weapons race.

Since your economy is small, all your reources should be devoted to getting your economy going so you can build cloaked ships for the team.

Except for the Protons who need to help the team get weapons tech. Some of us are on the front line and need to be ableto attack and defend.
