Need remote miner ships?
The Hand of Quiik can supply your remote miner needs. The latest John Deere planetary remote miner vessel is built on a maxi-miner hull using the finest materials, and features 10 super robo-miner mining robots capable of over 900kt per year (based on a planet with mineral concentrations of 113), radscoop engines, and 72% cloaking. The Quiik Edition Consumer Holoreport gives this vessel the highest praise, saying "There is none like it - this vessel is the ultimate mining vessel in it's class. The difference between this vessel and the typical mini-miner vessel could be compared to the difference between a backhoe and a hand trowel." Don't be embarrassed by primitive mining equipment when your favorite foes come to visit! Get the Quiik produced John Deere.

This offer is limited to special orders, is revokable at any time, and is not available to all governments. Limited to dealer participation, delivery times, costs, and mining results may vary. This advertisement paid for by John Deere Exploration, Quiik division.

The Government of the Shadallrangers is very happy to announce...

The "Who is OUT there" line of ships!

This line of ships which will be announced two years from now, will have three different styles of ship to choose from, all equipped with the latest in tachyon detection equipment. There is still time to make any last minute requests into the ships designs. Requests can be for things ranging from engines, to hull design.

Do not bother making requests for armed ships. There is only one race out there that we have a good enough partnership with to give armed ships, and we have not heard from them in nearly thirty years. Rolling Eyes

The prices for each of the different ships will be posted here when the final ship designs are announced. We expect that many races may find our prices to be quite steep, but hey, if you want it we got it. Wink

Nearly forgot to mention: Been turned down by us before, well we have become somewhat shadier in our business and may be interested in dealing with you now, so send us a message if you would be interested in our new ship line!

Here it is, what you have all been waiting for, the
"Who is OUT there"
line of ships from the strangely silly Shadallrangers.

There are three ships available in this line of ships.

The first ship is a Frigate Hull with an Interspace 10 engine, three Tachyon detectors, and two dolphin scanners. You can view the design of this ship here=> http://homepage.usask.ca/~tjl128/engr/stars/Who_is_OUT_there .png

The second ship in this line is based on a Cruiser Hull and has 2 Trans Galactic Drives and Four Tachyon detectors. You can view the design of this ship here => http://homepage.usask.ca/~tjl128/engr/stars/Who__Is_OUT_ther e.png

The third, and I must admit, the pride of our strange little fleet is based on the Nubian Hull, has 12 Tachyon detectors, and 3 Alpha Drive 8 engines. You can view the design of this ship here => http://homepage.usask.ca/~tjl128/engr/stars/Who_is_OUT__Ther e.png

If you are interested in purchasing any of these ships please feel free to look through the pricing equations below.

For all purchases, we require payment in advance, before the ships will be transferred to you. Any attempts to backstab us will result in the deal being voided and the ships to be delivered to you either destroyed or sold to another buyer.

Note: If you would like to be our exclusive purchaser for any of the ships in this line simply multiply the final cost of your order by 100.

Pricing:
Preferred payment is on a minerals basis although negotiations for ships of similar mineral content may be considered.

To determine how much it will cost you to purchase one of these ships use the equation:

(10-your rank)*the values below

Who is OUT there:
Ironium: 40
Boranium: 40
Germanium: 25

Who Is OUT there:
Ironium: 55
Boranium: 45
Germanium: 20

Who is OUT There:
Ironium: 110
Boranium: 70
Germanium: 15

Therefore, for example if I wanted to buy one of these ships from myself (4th place)... say the Who is OUT There, it would cost:
(10-4) * 110 = 660 kT of Ironium
(10-4) * 70 = 420 kT of Boranium
(10-4) * 15 = 90 kT of Germanium

We look forward to doing business with each and every one of you my 2 cents ;
Shadallark

Do tachyon detectors work without any scanners on the same ship? I noticed on the frigate hull (the only one equipped with scanners) that it gave what appears to be a percentage modifier applicable to any degree of cloaking (i.e. fleet cloaking percentage*0.91), right next to the scanner ranges. The other ships lacked any such detail.

I don't know, but it would make sense to me if the tachyon detectors only worked within the range of the scanners on the same hull it's mounted on.

Just trying to save you from a lawsuit by an unhappy customer. Very Happy

I'M NOT AN EXPERT AND I'M OFTEN PROVEN WRONG. TAKE THAT INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN YOU READ MY POSTS.
Math? Confused Ummm, sure! Nod I do FREESTYLE math.
