but There does seem to be an issue that is arising in downloading your most recent turn file. In various games over the last month, I have noticed that when you download your turn, you CAN get LAST years turn file.
It did happen to me personally, as well as to others in 2 other games that I am in.
When it happened to me, I tried downloading it from the mirror site, from 2 different PC's, and deleting the cache and redownloading. All with the same end result in receiving last turn's M file.
It is interesting to note, that when I download other players M file's for the problem game/year, they were the right year, but not my M file. (checked via staryear.exe utility)

A solution to this problem is IF you have your turn file emailed to you, this file is correct Smile

I had this happen to me a couple of times in one game that I was playing. Exiting and restarting my browser, clearing the cache, etc. did not fix the problem. I tried again in about two hours and I got the right turn file! Confused Strange, but not game threatening.

I agree that 'Questions on AH' is the better slot for this, but I decided to put it here as it would probably get more reads.

Ron suggested clearing the cache, but no avail...
Something is happening.
All hosts should recommend the email option to get around this problem.

Another idea..

What if it's actually an upstream cache? Like your ISP's cache? Then if you were to access the page from a different PC but same ISP then you would still get the old .M file.

I think the size of the turnfiles could throw cache managers off, after all, nobody does anything useful with <5kb files these days, right? Smile

they made me do it

Your comment about ISP cache is possible, and was Ron's suggestion too.
Just no way to check that or correct the problem, unless you have lots of time between turns and can wait for the ISP to purge that file....

What I did NOT try was having another player download the turn and send it to me. Next time Smile

I still suggest that all Hosts recommend auto email turn.

Every time I run into this problem, I simply use ftp client to
download the file. Works every time.

Which basically proves it is a cache issue... either on the local computer's browser/caching program, or somewhere upstream (ISP).

Yeah, if I get this problem (ISP transparent cache as someone mentioned previously) I just input another proxy address temporarily into the browser settings to get around it.
