Thanks Misza. Cool

Doesn't seem to be such a talkative crowd, eh?

I'll go next:

Hi - I'm the hostess
Born: in the 60s, Tulsa, Oklahoma USA
Now I live in the Netherlands.
Timezone: +1 GMT soon to be +2 (daylight savings)
Occupation: Recruitment Consultant
Hobbies: Computers, Stars!

I started playing Stars in 1999. My fiance, Pieter, got me involved in the game. My first game was Combat Academy II hosted by Art Lathrop (great teacher!) I don't know how active he is nowadays, but his website still has all the good articles and links http://www.aaedesigns.com/stars . My 2nd game
was Tempest in a Teapot hosted by Les Johnstone (who has hosted some wicked Twisted Evil games.. including OCTAGON) and my 3rd game was Milky Way hosted by Oliver Oehling. http://www.kpb-terra.de

Did I mention I won my first 3 Autohost games??? ROFLMAO

(Milky Way had a qualifier, which I barely made)
I did have allies - and I do think that being female had something to do with it... but not everything. Bounce
My first 2 races were JOATs and 3rd was factoryless CA.

Okay.. who's next for introductions???? Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

(edit - bad link)
(edit - finance! Laughing )

Am tallkative but also busy.

Anyway, i'll go next.

Born in the early 80's in the North of England and now go to university in Southampton. I am a bit of a sports and fitness blokey but I have always liked being sucked into a computer game for endless hours and then swearing when I realise what time it is and that I'm only going to get 1 hour sleep Shocked Just me? Ah well.

THis is only me second stars game (proper, i dont count player against the AI - should I?? Laughing )

In my first game which is on going I play as SS race which is starting to get the sawdust neat out of it by an alliance of players 1 and 2. I just have to see how much trouble I can cause for them Twisted Evil

Anyway, whos next??

OK, once i did it logging in the forum, so i'll introduce my humble self too.
Nice to see a brother in slavic people, well, a western one, from Poland.
I was born in 1974 in the Far East of Russia at it's Pacific Coast in Vladivostok.
First time I played Stars was in 1995, when i was on an exchange program at Northfield University, Vermont. I nice place and a nice computer lab. We, the Russians and a guy from Poland called Marek (he later insisted of rather being Mark) were the trandsetters in breaking rules of non using university computers for gaming. We DID!
When i was leaving the university rules were less stiff - gaming was a low priority, but was not prohibited anymore.
Fighting the occasional boredom i started to play Stars, but never had a chance to play with human beings. So i quit for a few years and was back just like half a year ago.
never played with humans before, so i might be an easy pray. No matter how skillfully, but i will put up some resistance!
Dmitry

O.K. my turn then,

I'm 23, married, and live in Preston, Lancashire, U.K. I work as a computer / network engineer for a Cornwall based medical firm installing computer systems for Doctor's surgeries.

I consider myself a strategist when it comes to Stars! but in previous games it hasn't paid off. It's a good laugh though.

I don't know whether it is the diplomacy that draws me to the game, or just the pretty colours on the 'map' display Razz

Well after a few e-mail from "Sally" I finally got in here.
Born in 1968 in Pontiac, Michigan USA in 1968
I now live with my wife and 3 kids in the city of Warren. I have 2 sons and a daughter. The boys are 17 and 13 years old. My girl is 15. BTW I just turned 35.
I work for Chrysler. Like most people I work on the assembly line. But unlike most people I only build 10-11 cars in 8 hours. I am one of the very few that build the Dodge Viper. Shocked
I have had the Stars! game since the first week it was out. I found it in a small computer software store. The bigger store never even had this game.
I'm very proud to say that my wife and I will be married 15 years on May 20, 2003.

I build the fastest sports car built in the U.S.
