I just got asked to input my serial number into stars. This was the first time that I've run it for a while (certainly first in the new year). Is this a coincidence? Anyone else get this?

If you have had to re-install Windows since the last time you ran Stars! you would get asked again for the serial number. Alternately, under XP a large number of system updates (for instance service pack 2) since the last time Stars! was run could conceivably trigger the input serial number request.
