I got my e-mail about the turn gen at 19.55 GMT. I got another e-mail at 00:06 GEM just over 4 hours later. As I gather 3 people missed their turn due to this?

Have I gone mad or am I missing something?

I'm not sure what happend, last time I checked was about 22:00 GMT, can't remember how much time was left at that point. Mabye because we got the other gen too soon? Normally the next gen gets +24h but maybe not now? I'll ask Ron if he has some kind of log in which he can see what happend.

It is a strange gen since it's at 0:05 instead of 0:00 ...

mch

The Autohost doesn't check each minute if it has a task to do, so sometimes it will miss by a few minutes when something is scheduled. Usually the miss is only 2-3 minutes, the same as when a turn file is uploaded and it takes a few minutes to register.

The Autohost will gen a turn if one is scheduled. I don't think it waits a min of 24 hours between gens. I could be wrong since it has been some time since I last hosted using Autohost and Ron may have changed the feature set.

As far as the turn goes, it did not cause me any problems. Nothing much to do at this stage of the game anyway and a missed turn is not that critical because it is so early.

I know about the 2-3 minutes but I've never seen the 5 minutes ...

Sorry, I explained myself badly. What I meant was that the game is set to gen at 0:00 and all turns are in it gens earlier, but if all turns are in _again_ before that same 0:00 than the page sets the time for the next 0:00, no longer for the first one (so +24h if that's the time between gens).
But probably not what happend here ...

Good to hear that, I hope it was ok for the other players too that missed it,

Ah Surprised but that's what happend right now! There were about 50h untill the Monday 0:00 gen, but now we had an extra gen in the weekend and now there are about 74h left, so that means the Tuesday gen ...
