I think immunities are too expensive fore most usage. I only take them with low growth races coupled with small habitat bands so they can achieve higher real growth rates. Usually this means AR, since they are the most powerful race with 8-10% growth. HE, tri immune at 4-6% makes them the best down at that level of growth. Most every other race has to take higher growth... where immunities are too expensive.

I dunno about that. I have many single immune races that can top 30k by 2450 easily. I find an immunity helps with planet sharing and it really helps maintain useful planets. Consider each one you get green has one hab variable at 100% which I think guarantees a 33% growth race minimum on a green planet

Hmm , maybe I'll give that CA I'm working on an immunity, I might be able to lower its growth rate a couple points to buy it... If the planet values change enough it Could be worth doing. But I'd have to top my previous testbed's resource count.... or maybe just population count since resources can vary depending on Germanium... does anyone know how to reuse one universe for all testbeds?

I think that a single immunity is a good choice for a lot of races.
More than one can't be justified, I don't think, point-wise, in most cases. I'd take total terraforming over additional immunities, or just really wide hab ranges.
Tri-immune is better than dual immune IMO, because it does at least partially eliminate the need for colonial scouting, and makes every single planet a perfect breeder world. It is BLOODY expensive though.

AH only time I ever took an immunity was with a 3% tri-immune HE race back in the old days (the then current patch was the "f-patch", I believe. It was a huge galaxy with 12 players, and I won by vote in the max tech nubian era. I did have a WM ally so it was a partnership win; I had the number one position. He gave me stargate access and I gave him ALL the minerals he wanted.
With growth down to 3% an HE can take max factory, max mine, and max pop efficiency, and max tech settings along with just about every advantageous LRT he wants, and no disadvantageous LRT's. The low growth rate is mitigated by the fact that every planet in the galaxy has 100% habitability; it just takes micro-management to maximise your growth, and a huge time commitment to do it in.
Outside of the 3% tri-immune HE, I've never opted for any immunity simply because of the expense. An HE race with 3% growth has thousands of points to spend, but I doubt any other race at 3% growth is viable.
